This Is Who We Are

Today marks the release of one of the most personal tracks I’ve ever created – This Is Who We Are. It’s a piece that sits right at the heart of The Shadowmaker, both thematically and emotionally, and I’m so excited to share it with you.

This track is about self-reflection – questioning where we belong in the world, confronting insecurities, and acknowledging the shadow sides of ourselves that we so often keep hidden. Writing it was an incredibly vulnerable process for me, but I believe there’s power in vulnerability. My hope is that This Is Who We Are resonates with you, offering both connection and catharsis.

Musically, the track combines ghostly indie elements with cinematic electronica, wrapped in an atmosphere that feels both airy and heavy at the same time. With reverb-heavy drums, wistful melodies, and a deeply emotional vocal delivery, this song is one of the cornerstones of the album. It’s a sound that’s raw, intimate, and unapologetically honest.

The video, which I’m equally proud of, brings the track’s themes to life. It features a lone figure navigating an abstract, emotionally charged landscape – a visual reflection of the inner turmoil we all face at times. The journey is haunting yet beautiful, a reminder that we’re never truly alone in our struggles.
