Sacred Dance - Reconstructed
Sacred Dance Reconstructed Mix – Out Today!
I’m thrilled to share my Sacred Dance Reconstructed Mix, performed live for the incredible Opulent Temple crew in Seattle this past April. This sold-out Sacred Dance Party was a night to remember, filled with energy, emotion, and a powerful connection with the dancefloor.
This is also the first Reconstructed Mix I’ve shared since my Breakfast of Champions breakbeat set, which has now had an incredible 17,500 plays on SoundCloud. For this mix, I explored a wide range of underground and classic melodic, tech, and progressive house and techno, piecing it together for maximum euphoria. As with all my Reconstructed mixes, I meticulously deconstructed elements from my extensive music library—using AI where necessary to split stems—then lovingly rebuilt it all into a seamless, immersive journey.
My relationship with Opulent Temple goes back to Burning Man 2009, where I performed a life-changing back-to-back set with my old friend Mark Pember (aka Meat Katie). That night, after the Man burned, we played for over 5,000 people with flames roaring all around—a true homecoming for me, having spent years building a loyal fanbase in San Francisco.
This mix feels like the perfect way to honor that long-standing connection while giving you a taste of the Reconstructed concept—a way to deconstruct and rebuild sound-worlds into something entirely fresh and deeply immersive.
With the first Reconstructed Mix from The Shadowmaker album, The Shadowmaker (Reconstructed Heartland Mix), landing this Friday, this mix sets the tone for what’s to come.
But this is just the beginning!
You can experience my next longform Reconstructed Mix at the world premiere of The Shadowmaker at Denver’s Holiday Theatre on February 8th. Tickets for this unique “living documentary” show are available here.
Thank you for listening, and I hope this mix inspires and moves you as much as it did me while creating it.
