NIPPED & TUCKED VOL.2
Following on from the success of the Elite Force ‘Nipped & Tucked’ album release two weeks ago (20,000 streams and rising), I’m following up with Volume 2, dedicated to revitalizing some of my favourite Simon Shackleton tracks, including the previously unreleased ‘Keep The Fire Burning’.
I've meticulously edited ten tracks from my extensive back catalogue for the ‘Nipped & Tucked’ series, bringing a fresh twist to the music I love - not everyone wants 7 minute long tracks these days (but if you do, they are out there!). The second volume, out now, features infectious grooves, dark intense rhythms, twists of futurism and end-of-the-night hands-in-the air euphoria.
“Coming back to these tracks with brevity at the top of mind was a really useful and inspiring project for me. So much music I’ve made over the years has been laser-focused on dancefloor and groove to allow DJs as much flexibility as possible to use my music in their sets. ‘Nipped & Tucked’ puts the listener centre stage and invites them into my world of emotive electronic music. It’s a great way to sample some of my newer and older work in a more readily digestible format.”
The compilation series artwork is available as high-quality photo prints in my recently launched Dekor Arts Prints store on Etsy. In addition to a range of geometric and abstract music-related pieces, the store features a host of minimal retro-futuristic landscapes created by myself that will work a treat in the style-conscious home.
